If I'm so smart, why don't people listen to me?

A busy Friday today...so much happened that this morning seems so far away that it didn't happen.

I woke up late. I continually "remind" dh that on Fridays I MUST wake up with the first alarm (the radio goes on at 6, then buzzes at 6:30, so I often am not awakened by the radio). So I woke today at 6:27 and the morning was such a rush. In addition to the regular stuff (dressing, walking dogs, preparing lunch for dd), I had puppies to feed, dirty papers to clean up. Plus I had not gotten stuff ready last night (so what's new) and had to throw the stuff together. I arrived at the school just in the nick of time. But I had to skip breakfast.

DS is home this weekend, so after eating and floor washing, we headed out to the "mini mall." DS wanted to buy a fleece jacket and gloves, and I wanted a sweater, as the other day realized I could use some new, updated clothes. We found what we wanted, and also did what grocery shopping we needed to do, but on the way back to the car made the "mistake" of stopping into Blockbuster. We spent way to much time searching through the rental-movies-now-for-sale (3 for 100) box, but then I noticed the "classics-for-sale" display and ended up buying the special edition of "The Wizard of Oz."

Back home I got the cooking started (Goulash, chicken soup with Kneidlach, noodles and frozen vegie mix). My friend R, the one with the new puppy, called, and mentioned that she had found a home for her dog. WHAT!?!?!? Yes, she realized that she couldn't handle the puppy. I was with her when she adopted the dog and advised her not to take a four-month-old puppy, but "Gideon just fell in love with it." Anyways, the dog isn't properly housetrained yet, also poops outside under her window, destroys stuff in the house (well, d'oh!!!) Told you so! (see blue text)OK, enough said. I have said more than I need to say already. She's stupid.

Speaking of "stupid", my friend A, recently had to call a locksmith to break into her house since she lost her keys on her way home and didn't have a spare set stashed away somewhere. Why don't people listen to me? (see purple text)

The pups are growing and beautiful and cute and smart and I love them dearly, but they are going back on Sunday. Sniff sniff. But they deserve their own entry.
