The NO-TV idea idea has stirred up alot o f dialog in the flylady group. Today I dropped the bomb on Odelia of what she had to look forward to (ha ha) and was greeted, as expected, with yells, screams and no no no. Howeve,r this evening, in the car, she came out with a line that left me in no doubt that I am doing the right thing. She basically admitted that she knows she does watch too much tv, and I should have put a limit on it ages ago. Wow.
Anyways, I promised her a game of monopoly, somethine I have little patience for and generally refuse to play with her. That's for starters. We'll see what else I can cook up. I have a feeling that anything I suggest will be rejected. So I will just wait to see what she drifts to.
By the way, our livingroom tv is s 34 incher. I couldn't move it if my life depended on it, so it will stay where it is. also, the fact that there are two other tv's in the house...they can't all get "broken" and sent for repair at the same time. So, it will be a "no tv, even though it's standing there thing.". The most I might do is disconnect the cable (if I can do it and still leave my mom connected) to prevent her from sneaking to watch it while i am out of the house.
I am all ready with Honey to do do the obedience exam tomorrow, but from the look of the weather, it will be cancelled. Pouring rain and thunder and lightening. Also, I seem to be all stuffed up, so I shall call i a night, floss my teeth (that makes 26 times this month!!!) and take a night dexamol.
