This @#$% computer is working so slowly that even checking the email is a pain in the arse. Just loading the messages and sending a response when needed is like wading through mud. It may be due to a faulty hard disc that my bil put in when he upgraded this computer, or it may be because ds19 is trying to download an entire season's worth of Xena onto his computer upstairs. At any rate, the only decent thing I can do on this computer is type an entry. EVen trying to make the spider solitair cards move is an effort. And, by the way, as I type this, this diaryland pages is still loading too! (I am copying my text every so often....just in case!)
I did a bone density test last week and got my results today in the mail, being that so far I am not falling apart. (Well, I should hope so...I am not yet half a century!!) I think. It says it's all OK, but some figures kind of make me wonder. HOwever, I have been told it is a good baseline guide for later. Ahhh...the joys of moving up their in years. Feh! Also, I discovered I have scoliosis. Ah well, I guess it's too late in my life to do anything about that!
The mom of one of ds's good friends passed away this morning, from lung cancer which, I understand, was only discovered a week ago. How shocking. How sad.
DD12's eye infection came back again Wednesday, and Thursday I took her, for the third time, to see the eye doctor. This time he prescribed some steroid medications (drops and ointment) which seem to have done the trick. By tonight, her eye is bright white again. Phew!
And Bardot seems to be eating again. Since the only change has been to exchange the old bag of food for another (same brand), I guess there was something wrong with the food that she could smell and I couldn't. Smart doggie. I took her with to agility with me tonight, and she was a royal pain in the butt. Besides her barking as she was tied up at the side, Honey also kept running off from the track and running to her. God, I wish I could get some help walking Bardot just one day a week. What a family I have.
On that note, I shall go back to the book. I started it last night, was up till 2:30 am reading, and may very well finish it tonight.....
