The puppy looks like a black lab, but with white "tips" (tail, chest, ends of paws, stomach). She is quite friendly, obviously hasn't undergone any abuse, and is amazingly quiet, as she is banned from the house, and sleeps quietly with minimal of crying. I wonder if she grew up in a doghouse anyways. However, she is totally covered with ticks. I started to pick them off, saw this was an impossible task, and sprayed her with frontline. Hopefully by tomorrow morning, they will be dead and I can detach them easily.
I suspect that someone "helped" her unlatch my gate and get in. Otherwise, I have no idea how she got in.
Other canine issues...Honey got a haircut wednesday, which definately deserved a photo here...but I haven't got one ready at this moment. The hair was cut with the longest blade, but she does look weird! She is not my beautiful Honey anymore and I will enjoy watching it grow back. I did it mainly because it was a 45 min combing job after we had been out int he fields, to get out all the burrs. But even with the haircat, because her undercoat hairs are quite exposed, she still came home with the "velcro" stuck to her. Hopefully, her guard hairs will grow faster than the undercoat, and she will be a non-stick surface (like Bardot!)
Agility went not today, as the Mondial seems to have kept most of them away. We drove there, missing the obediance as planned, and found them already packing up. Oh well...it was awfully hot anyways.
