Today was spent driving A around, as she is needing to buy some fencing for her new place. She has to vacate her present premises (which is a dump) and has rented a hothouse...one dunam's worth of weeds and mess, covered with a glass (much broken) roof. The thing is, she has to be out of her place by July 31, and today she just started cleaning out the place, using manual labor of 3 workers with hoes. Money is always a problem.
Did i mention the day I took her to look for caravans? When she shlepped me up to some place, not having a name, phone no. or address of the establishment, and when we arrived, it was not there? So, this time, she had another place she wanted to go to for fencing, but, again, didn't know a name or number. I don't mind helping out, but i feel really taken advantage of going on wild-goose chases.
Well, now this fencing is urgent, as the guy who is going to install it was scheduled to come on Saturday! I ended up trying to find and contact places on the internet, found one company in Rehovot, and then drove down to pick her up at her "hamamam" (i.e. nursery)...after she had stepped on a nail..OUCH!) - drove her back to the rehovot place, where she would have ordered it, but couldn't get it available till Tuesday, which is too late. So I DID drive her to the other place, in Ahisemach, which, thankfully WAS there, and after this and that and this and that, we finally left around 2:45, her checks written and a guarantee of delivery first thing Sunday morning. She realized that if she would have it delivered Friday, for Saturday installation, chances were good that over Friday night, it would sprout legs and walk off! Theivery is a big problem in the agricultural areas.
Well, on the whole, I was sorry I had just not taken her there to start with, and saved the trip to Rehovot.
I had really meant to spend today doing my "zone" work in the bedroom. Last week I was pretty good doing Kelly's missions in the bathroom, and here is now Thursday evening and I haven't even started in this week's zone. Bad me.
Other news, war effort...I donated my roof apartment and now have a mother with babe (1 year) from K. Shmona there. I managed to find a free microwave/grill on the internet (!). Now i am looking for a fridge.
It seemed a pity to have it there empty when people from the north need refuge. It is a bit of a gamble, since she has to come through our house to get to the apartment, separate entrance having been dismanteled due to city licensing problems, however...here's hoping she is honest.
Tomorrow I will go donate blood.
I may have found home for the pup. She is a real good, smart puppy and I am very fond of her. But I DON'T need three dogs when noone in this house helps me.
