Oh, I did do a smidgen of weeding this morning in the "hollyhock area" before the truck came by too. I believe it is time to sow the seeds, and also refrigerate those tulip bulbs I bought in Holland!
I spent a good few hours working on downloading my readinga-z stuff (I won a free one-month subscription, and mean to download and burn as much as I can from the site in that time!) I already have lots of title downloaded from last year, when I actually paid for a 6-month subscription, but they have added tons of stuff in the meantime, along with comprehension quizes for each book. I only noticed the comp quizes after I had finished downlading the z, y, x, w, v and most-of-u books. I have gotten myself a sort of "system" to do it as fast as I can, but it still takes alot of time.
I also spent too much time playing ss (spider). I thought I had erased it from the computer, but i obviously didn't. I am thinking I need professional help!
At 3pm I decided to take a nap, totally forgetting that I wanted to watch the 3rd showing of this week's episode of Grey's anatomy, the first epi of which I slept through last night, and the second I forgot was on at the time I awoke from that nap. Damn. I hope I don't forget the Friday showing!
Oh...but the best. Yesterday I FINALLY went to IKEA. Yes, after years of not getting there, I received an impromptu invitation in the morning from dd22 (as of today, she is dd23!!), who needed to buy a tv table, and doesn't have wheels, and is on vacation this week. So, at 1230 hours, I headed her way, picked her up and we s-l-o-w-l-y drove up to netanya. Lots of traffic jams! The store was crowded. After wandering and hour, we decided to have lunch, and waited in a long line for eats. Ditto for checkout, and ditto for a coffee before the drive home. OK, well it is Chol Hamoed...what better venue for family entertainment than IKEA! I ended spending about 450 sh, taking home the following booty:
1 artist poseable dummy (for Odelia)
1 folding closedryer (for mom)
1 atrociously expensive TV blanket, fleece, with appliqued cats (ostensibly for Ofra, but I just bought her a 125sh cookbook for her birthday, so I bought this for Dor's birthday!!)
1 long, snake-design shoehorn (for Moshe) - he didn't appreciate it.
A set of four legs for my outside table
A purple octopus outlet (unique...couldn't resist it!)
An amazing set of drawer organizers, in fabric. They fit perfectly and my underwear and socks are now classicaly organized instead of being housed in cardboard boxes....
I found nothing worthy of ds20's affection, and bought him nothing, as he pointed out to me! (Sigh)
The drive home was about as jammed as the ride there, but I got home safe and sound.
Tonight is "Wine Festival" in Rishon, and dh and I plan to go out around 8-ish. Hope his foot (recently diagnosed spur...!!) will compy!
