Update at 2 in the morning.

17 November 2006 at 4:54 a.m.

Woo ha...it is 5am. I have been awake since about 2, after having fallen asleep at 930 on the sofa. DS woke up when he came in after his evening trousting. Since I have to leave in an hour for agility, there is no point going to bed.

I spent a bit catching up on some emails, and then playing a few games of spider solitaire. Then I got out the glue gun (pronounced "glue glun," LOL) and repaired my weave poles. If you don't know what weave poles are, look at the black dog in this picture

I have been soooo busy lately. I am still constantly overwhelmed with my lesson preparations, but I feel that slowly, slowly, I am getting to the point where I am NOT preparing moments before. My aim is to get to the point where I actually prepare for the next lesson directly after the last. My latest project is putting up a site for my students. You can see it here: . So far, I have just used the page builder to get it running. It has been so long since I used actual HTML (for the IGDCB site) that I am afraid to plunge in. But I already see some pages that need setting up as a table, and so I will have to dive in soon.

Speaking of IGDCB:-

1) They are supposedly finally trying to get some kind of "normal" site up and running, sort of like I envisioned many moons ago.

2) Bardot is pregnant! Last week i took her for U/S and it was inconclusive, but this week , she has definately been getting bigger and I took her the past Tuesday, again, for U/S and we saw four puppies.

3) I told Orna that the time has definately come to find Bardot a new home. I thought that she could have the time to look and then after the pups are weaned, Bardot could go to the new family. However, Orna isn't sure if she wants to keep Bardot in the breeding program (apparently, 3 out of her 4 pups are rather obsessive, and not really the best temperment for guiding, although her first born, Venus, is being trained. The other ones are not old enough yet for actual evaluation).

So we have agreed that we will wait until the pups are about 4 months old, and she will be able to form an idea whether they are also not suitable, and if so, she will retire Bardot, spay her, and find her a permanent home. I agreed, since it would be unfair to to transfer Bardot to a family thinking they are fostering a breeding bitch, only to have to have her go to a permanent home.

However, for the time being, I am looking forward to being a puppy mommy again. Ah....the aroma of puppy breath, and that warm feeling of holding puppies. Great activity for a cold winter evening!
