Remember the story about the stolen buggy? Well, another curious thing happened at that very same supermarket. I had gone into the cosmetics department to get some day cream, and I specifically wanted one with retinoic acid in it. So, I chose one, and then I gave it to the clerk, and received a little voucher with which I was to pay for the cream with the rest of the groceries, and then pick it up at the main service desk.
Oh, some of the creams had 30% discount and some didn't.
Fine.
When I got home that night and unwrapped the celophane, I was chagrined to notice that not only was this for oily skin, it was also NOT the one with retinoic acid. I figured that I had spied the one I wanted, but then stupidly grabbed the wrong box off the shelf. Then I noticed on the copy of the voucher that I was supposed to get 30% off...which I didn't.
Today I went back to get my 30%. But then the manager points out that the barcode for the cream I PAID FOR is 1065303, but the cream I GOT was 1065308! Oh, this is just getting to complicated to explain, but the gist of the matter is that I guess that when I went to pick up the cream, the lady gave me someone else's package. Anyways, I got the refund for the discount for the cream I didn't want, but was entitled to a discount. Some other person, got my cream, with a discount they aren't entitled to! I bet they won't be coming back trying to give back the money to the store!!!
What really sucks is that the cosmetics lady said that even if I had ripped off the celophane, I could have exchanged it anyways, had I not used it already.
I finally got my tulips planted today, just prior to the heavens bursting open and an amazing storm!!!! I took Bardot for a walk this evening and got soaked....!
Also, yesterdya I finally got that package mailed out. Hope it doesn't take too long arriving at its destination, what with the xmas rush and all.
