So today is a day I shall update.
My right knee is in awful pain. It started about 1-1/2 weeks ago, with mild pain (tendonitis?). I checked internet ....and decided RICE was the best action: why shlep to a doctor, when that is probably what she will tell me?
But, I was a fool yesterday, and went to the dog show with Honey to run our A0 trials. (We did a great job, with only one fault, and thus passed onto A1 level!) I knew my knee wasn't in the best of shape, but I thought that with taking it easy most of the day (I did, as much as possible), ice, bandage support, aspirin, being careful, etc. I would be OK, if not great. However, while practicing, and then running, I could feel the pain getting worse. Shit.
The last time there were trials, many months ago, I was undergoing the problem with my right heel, for which I ended up with physical therapy PLUS a VERY expensive pair of orthodics. My heel is pretty well OK (most of the time, if I am careful to wear the orthodics). So that is why I so wanted to go yesterday.
Now it is almost impossible for me to walk. The guilt of knowing that "I did it to myself" makes it hard for me to ask my family for any help. As usual, I find them most unsympathetic. I always feel that when I am ill, DH is most impatient with me. Sigh.
Despite the knee, I had a great time, and it was a fun day. Honey was great, as usual....I hope there will be a video to link to soon.
