Book purge

The task to clean out and sort out my mom's things continues. It's hard. So hard. I appreciate how sis isn't "immune" to the house and it is probably harder on her. Even now, I tend to sometimes shed a tear when I walk in.
Yesterday's task was threefold: 1) to load into sis's car all the stuff that she had put aside to date and get it out of the way of the building; 2) to go over the books in the bookshelves and decide trash, keep, adversise (i.e. give away to anyone who wants it), mark for special people; and 3) sort and "put on the curb" all the stuff that is true trash.
Sis has more of an "eye" to "things that look like trash but might be worth good bucks," so along with everything else, a box was started with "appraise" written on it. The truth is that there are a few items (French porcelain clock and lamp; vases, silver tea ste) that may be worth something, and so, if an appraiser will be coming anyways....
The bookshelf is now cleared out, and my task is now to catalog the books that someone may want and advertise them somehow on the internet.(sigh)
This morning i must dedicate to tidying my classroom. Seems every time my back is turned, a hurricane happens. How is that? And a new student happening today to!
